Here it is again, that time of year that feels so fresh and new, a time we naturally find ourselves reflecting on the year that has passed and forming hopes for what lies ahead. 2010 was a good year to me, I do have to say it was one of the best in my life so far! Rather than dread the passing of another year (they really do seem to pass faster and faster), I welcome 2011 with open arms and an open heart and pray that it has much good in store.

no more excuses
Procrastinating is my worst trait. I put off doing things that I dread. I put off doing things that I don't mind but just don't feel like doing in the given moment. I even put off doing things that I want to do. Blogging is one of those things I've been putting off doing even when I've really wanted to jump back in.
I never intended to take a break from this blog, it just happened. Several times I've sat at the computer, clicked on "new post", then decided to check out my favorite blogs instead. You see how well this has worked for me? No more excuses. I'm back. So stop back by and see what I've been up to.

Rob Loud Photos
There are two things I want from my wedding day:
1. to be married (obviously), and 2. good photography
Wedding blogs are full of gorgeous, totally drool-worthy pics by really talented photographers who all live a really long way from me. In my search to find "the one", I first have to decide what it is that I'm really looking for.
I'm seriously loving these photos by photographer Rob Loud. I love how bright and saturated with color these pictures are. So far, I've really been drawn to dreamy, vintage looking shots, but these are making me so so happy right now.
Of course, it just might be the exotic location that I'm loving here...
Seriously, what's not to like?

more pom poms? yes please!
What could be better than big fluffy pom poms? Pom pom vines of course! And it just so happens that I came across a tutorial for these lovelies right here.

elements of table decor
table setting
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this table setting via Green Wedding Shoes courtesy of Tec Petaja Photography. It has such a wonderful vintage and garden vibe. My head's spinning with ideas!
bridesmaid dresses
I LOVE this whole post on non-matching bridesmaid dresses I found on Green Wedding Shoes. I always knew I'd want my girls to wear what would flatter each of them best, but had never considered for them to be in completely different colors. This opens up a whole new area of decision-making!

painted branches
I love the idea of this natural element tweaked with color. What a great excuse it would be to get out the old collection of spray paints! Did you know that you can actually buy tree branches??!!

pie pops
I came across this photo while blog hopping and I just wonder if it would be too much to ask my future mother in law to help me out with a project like this. Wouldn't these make the best wedding favors?! Original Pie Pops story found on Luxirare

the succulent in wedding florals
Through my gardening adventures I have developed a deep love of succulents. They come in so many shapes, colors, types and sizes and collecting them can become addictive. I was so surprised to see how many ways they are being used in wedding decor. I'm seriously in love with these ideas!

I'm head over heels
In love with this wedding!

Photos found on Once Wed

I love everything about it, the sweet, vintage style, the cluster of decorations centered by a place mat, the twinkle lights, and pom poms.
Also from this wedding, but found on a different blog, 100 layer cake, are a few more images:
I love her veil and the rows of pictures hanging from the trees.
Banners? Yes please.
